3rd Progress and General Assembly Meeting in Vilnius

The GreeNest consortium convened in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 12–13 June 2025 for its 3rd Progress and General Assembly Meeting, graciously hosted by project partner MET. This two-day event brought together representatives from all partner organisations to review project milestones, align on next steps, and reinforce collaboration across the consortium.

Day 1

The meeting opened with a warm welcome from the project coordinator, Prof. Maria Founti (NTUA), followed by introductory remarks from the MET team. Prof. Founti delivered a comprehensive update on the project’s current status, celebrating key achievements since the last meeting and outlining strategic priorities for the upcoming phase.

Each Work Package leader then presented their progress, showcasing, for example, advancements in digital technologiesdemo site development, and system integration. These sessions provided valuable insights into the collaborative efforts driving GreeNest’s innovative ecosystem forward. y, partners also had the opportunity to view the first prototype of KARZ, one of the Standardised Packages under development in the Materials category of the GreeNest project.

The first day concluded with a review of upcoming deliverables and milestones, led by Prof. Founti. The General Assembly followed, during which members approved key adjustments and confirmed key project management decisions. The day wrapped up with a networking dinner at a local restaurant, fostering informal exchanges and strengthening team cohesion.

Day 2

Day two focused on technical deep-dives and expert discussions. In the afternoon, an exploitation workshop encouraged reflection on the project’s innovation potential and long-term impact.

To close the meeting, participants toured MET’s facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the company’s research and manufacturing processes. The company brings extensive experience in designing and assembling custom-made PV modules of non-standard shapes and sizes for diverse use cases. During the visit, partners explored MET’s labs, showroom, and ongoing innovations, gaining valuable insight into how their expertise supports the project’s goals.

We extend our sincere thanks to MET for their outstanding hospitality and organisation, and to all partners for their active engagement and constructive dialogue. The Vilnius meeting reaffirmed the consortium’s shared vision and commitment to delivering impactful, sustainable solutions.
