Museum Pavilion and Knowledge Paths

Location icon Berlin, Germany
Building icon Museum
Scale icon ~1,250 m²

The Museum Pavilion is located within the University Campus City West (UCCW) of TU Berlin.
It is a multifunctional building that integrates exhibition and gallery spaces, a knowledge hub, and other public areas.
Conceived as a real-world demonstrator within the university’s Zero Emission Building (ZeB) strategy, the Pavilion applies the DesignByInventory (DbI) methodology to incorporate reclaimed structural timber and recycled materials directly into the design. Its modular, reversible design supports future adaptability and material reuse, while low-tech solutions, natural insulation, and a green roof enhance energy efficiency and biodiversity.
