KA-RZ: Live Test Production at NTUA
On Tuesday, October 14, after 13:00, the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) will host a live test production of KA-RZ, an innovative and eco-friendly building material made from coffee grounds.
The event will take place in Building O of the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Zografou Campus. It will feature a presentation and live demonstration by Olaf Elze, Director of the German company K-MÄLEON, which leads the development of KA-RZ.
The material KA-RZ uses coffee grounds as a raw material in a circular economy process. Its goal is to produce a thermally insulating, environmentally friendly material with enhanced performance that can be reused or recycled after use, promoting circularity.
