GreeNest at Sustainable Places 2024
The GreeNest project was proud to participate in the Sustainable Places 2024 Conference, held from September 23 to 25, 2024, at the European Convention Centre, Luxembourg. This high-profile event brought together leading researchers, industry professionals, and policy stakeholders to explore forward-looking solutions for sustainability in the built environment.
As part of the programme, Maria Founti, GreeNest project coordinator from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), was invited to speak at the workshop titled: Navigating the Shades of Industrialised Deep Energy Retrofit: Strategies for a Sustainable EU Building Stock.
The session addressed innovative pathways to scaling up deep energy retrofits through industrialised, circular, and adaptable methods. Prof. Founti contributed valuable insights on how nature-based and circular construction strategies, such as those promoted by GreeNest, can support the transformation of Europe’s building stock towards net-zero.
