Going Beyond: Innovative Integration of Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Solutions in Building Design

On March 22nd, our project coordinator Maria Founti presented the GreeNest project at the final workshop of the Powerskin+ project.

The event, titled "Going Beyond: Innovative Integration of Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Solutions in Building Design," provided a platform to delve into key aspects central to advancing sustainable construction practices in Europe, particularly innovative building façade solutions for curtain wall systems.

Maria presented the role of innovative prefabricated envelope solutions for Zero Energy and Zero Emission Buildings, highlighting the GreeNest project and the PLURAL project, which she has led as a project coordinator since October 2020.

Maria showcased the scope and targets of our GreeNest project, introduced the demo cases, and presented the expected outcomes.

If you’d like to know more about the significance of renovation towards Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB) and the benefits offered by off-site prefabrication, we invite you to download Maria's insightful presentation and to watch the workshop recording*.
